Which Hammock Should I Buy?

This is now a common question considering the number of hammocks now stocked!

Brazilian Hammocks originate from a number of areas in Brazil. They tend to be a close hand weaved material and there are plenty of options in colours, stripes and some fringes. Some of the fringes can be quite elaborate or ornate, yet others are quite simple. They are designed to lay across at a 45 degree angle rather than along the length. This avoids the curling effect or coccooning and allow the coole breeze to be felt.

Mexican Hammocks once again come from select areas in Mexico. They are made from many thin strings which give them some great strength and looks a little like a net. They are now also coming in a thicker string which are a little more comfortable. As the Mexican Hammock can stretch quite a lot there are a number of ways you can lie in it. The metallic nylon range is superb.

Heres a little list of my favourite hammocks, stands or accessories and why -

Canto - Elegant looking in a natural cream colour with a beautiful fringe unlike any other. Team this up with these the Magnum Tubular Steel Stand or Santo Wooden Stand for the best fit and look.

Bona - A fun, colourful striped hammock with a beautiful white fringe. The coloured stripes offset with the black edge and the white fringe make this really stand out. Once again, team this up with these the Magnum Tubular Steel Stand or Santo Wooden Stand for the best fit and look.

Country Love - I don't know if its the pattern or the thick quality of the material but this hammock still remains one of my favourites. This is the one for under the verandah to read a good book in. Pictured with the Santo Wooden Stand.
